Awaji Youth Federation Fellowship

Young candidates between the ages of 24 and 35 who have earned or will soon earn a bachelor’s or master’s degree are eligible to apply for the AYF fellowship. Lectures, Challenges, and Projects are the three interconnected programme types that make up the AYF.

What is the Awaji Youth Federation Fellowship?

The Awaji Youth Federation Fellowship is a 9-month live-in working and training program designed to cultivate the next generation of global leaders. Participants from around the world converge on Awaji Island to engage in a variety of activities aimed at fostering personal development, project ideation, and cross-cultural collaboration.

Under the guidance of experienced mentors, fellows have the chance to explore new challenges, unleash their creativity, and make a meaningful impact on society. The AYF Fellowship combines three (3)components namely:

  1. Self Development and Mentoring,
  2. Project Ideation and Project Work,
  3. Event Creation

Eligibility Requirements for Awaji Youth Federation Fellowship 2024

To be considered for the AYF Fellowship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Experience: 2-3 years of experience in a relevant field, with a preference for candidates who thrive in startup environments.
  • Age: Ideally between 24-30 years old, although exceptions may be made based on merit.
  • Education: A Bachelor’s degree or higher, demonstrating a commitment to continuous learning and growth.
  • Language Skills: Fluency in English (TOEIC 800 or equivalent) is required, with knowledge of Japanese (JLPT N1-N3) considered a plus.
