Africa Institute Global Africa Translation Fellowship 2024

The Africa Institute was founded in December 1976 as a centre for studies on Africa and the African Diaspora. Its first Symposium on African and Arab Relations was held in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates (UAE). About Forty-five African and Arab intellectuals were invited to the symposium, which was sponsored by His Highness Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al-Qasimi (ruler of the Emirate of Sharjah), and a member of the UAE Supreme Council.

One of the main suggestions was the creation of an institute for African and Arab ties with its headquarters located in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, that would concentrate on the research and recording of historical connections.

Benefits

  • Funding for the Global Africa Translation Fellowship might range from $1,000 to $5,000, depending on the scope and breadth of the project.
