UNICEF Youth Advocates Programme 2024-2025

UNICEF, in collaboration with United Nations Volunteers (UNV), has launched the Youth Advocates program as a fresh initiative to recruit talented individuals. The objective is to empower young people, including those with disabilities, to become catalysts for change and champions of children’s rights.

Building on the success of the initial program implemented between 2018 and 2019, where 42 Youth Advocates (aged 18-24) were mobilized across 27 countries, UNICEF and UNV are now seeking the second cohort.

They aim to identify 20 passionate and skilled advocates who can join them in advocating for the protection of children’s rights and become change agents. The Youth Advocates Program offers young participants the opportunity to gain one-year professional experience through a National UN Volunteer (UNV) assignment with UNICEF. They also contribute their valuable insights to the organization’s work for the betterment of children and young people.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Open to Individuals aged 18-35 who have a strong commitment to children’s rights are invited to apply.
  • Applications are particularly encouraged from young professionals with disabilities and those belonging to under-represented groups.
