The Romanian Agency for Investment and Foreign Trade (ARICE) has announced the opening of the application selection process for the 40 scholarships that will be given to foreign nationals to study in Romania beginning in the 2024-2025 academic year.

Financial Assistance:

This is an exemption from Fee payment. Say goodbye to the burden of registration fees or any other application processing fees. The financial awards include:

  • Tuition Coverage: ARICE will cover the recipient’s tuition expenses for both the Romanian language preparatory year and the actual academic studies.
  • Monthly Stipend: As an ARICE Scholarship recipient you will receive a monthly stipend to support your living expenses during your preparatory language year as well as throughout your bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral studies.

Comprehensive Healthcare:

Eligibility Requirements for ARICE International Scholarship

To be eligible for the ARICE International Scholarship, you must meet the requirements below:

  • Applicants must be foreign students outside of the EU and EFTA.
  • Must have all the necessary documents to apply for a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree.
  • Fulfill language requirements or be willing to undertake a preparatory language course if you are not proficient in Romanian.

How to Apply

  • The application window for the ARICE International Scholarship program for the academic year 2024-2025 is open from March 1 to May 31, 2024, until 23:59 Romanian time.
  • Submit your application files in electronic format to the designated email address on the official ARICE website at https://arice.gov.ro/1/burse-2024/

Selection Process

  • The ARICE selection committee, appointed according to legal procedures, will diligently review the submitted applications until July 15, 2024.
  • Following this initial screening, the results of the intermediate selection stage will be published on the official ARICE website given below
  • The final decision regarding the awarding of scholarships rests with the Ministry of Education, ensuring transparency and fairness in the selection process.

  • Application Form
  • Letter of Recommendation
  • Photocopies of relevant diplomas and academic transcripts
  • Applicant’s declaration regarding previous scholarship awards
  • Birth Certificate
  • Curriculum Vitae
  • Original Medical Certificate
  • Photocopy and legalized translation of Identity Card
  • Passport (the first two pages)
  • Two recent passport-sized photographs

Application Deadline

May 31, 2024, is the deadline for submitting your applications.
