The Brighter Living Scholarship 2024 is currently open for applications from suitably qualified candidates. This scholarship is offered by the Brighter Living Foundation, an independent charity that has supported the health of people and the planet since its establishment in 2018.
The Brighter Living Foundation is pleased to extend an invitation to four (4) influential youth leaders to attend the One Young World Summit in Montréal, Canada in 2024. In the areas of “Climate & Nature,” “Nutrition & Health,” and “Social,” young entrepreneurs that are having a good influence on society locally or globally will get support from the Brighter Living Foundation – One Young World Scholarship.
Eligibility Requirements for Brighter Living Scholarship 2024
- Required Age: 18-30
- Candidates must be resident in Africa, Latin America, Asia-Pacific
- Should have 3-5 years’ experience in agri-food or beauty business (preferably self-owned business
- Applicants should be making a positive impact in one of the three scholarship focus areas.
- Must be available to travel to Canada to participate in the One Young World Summit 2024 including the Brighter Living Foundation Scholarship 2024 pre and post Summit programmes.
- All successfully selected scholars will need to be present in Montréal from 15 – 23 September.
Scholarship Focus Areas
The scholarship focus area Include :
- Climate & Nature: Applicants for the scholarship through this concentration area should be actively working to reduce the environmental effect of regional and international systems that produce beauty products or agri-food.
- Nutrition and Health: Applicants using this target area should be actively engaged in increasing the availability of inexpensive, high-quality, and aspirational nutritional foods in low- and middle-income nations.
- Social: Applicants for the scholarship through this concentration area ought to be actively working to raise smallholder farmers’ standards of living.
Benefits of the Brighter Living Scholarship
Scholars will receive the following benefits:
- Scholars will have full delegate access to attend the September 18–21, 2024, Montréal, Canada One Young World Summit.
- Opportunity to participate in the pre-Summit and post-Summit events hosted by The Brighter Living Foundation on September 16 and 17, respectively.
- Hotels in Montréal from September 15 to September 22 (inclusive).
- Foodservice throughout the entire event.
- Cost reimbursement for return flights.
- Enrollment in the One Young World Ambassador Community
