YouTube, a famous American online video-sharing and social media platform headquartered in San Bruno, California, has recently announced the Music Class of 2024 Application for its YouTube FIFTY DEEP Music Grants, the grants aim to support Black musicians in the hip-hop industry.
YouTube’s 50 Deep cultural effort, which honours and recognizes how FAR and BIG Hip-Hop has grown over the past 50 years, is supporting this Music Grants program. “To commemorate this historical event, YouTube will launch and support several activations as part of FIFTY DEEP beginning on August 11 and continuing through the fall.”
Highlights on hundreds of music videos, producer highlights on the homepage, a live hip-hop streaming event at Yankee Stadium, and much more are some of these activations. Any upcoming or established Hip Hop artists who identify as Black in the following regions; United States, United Kingdom, Brazil, Australia, Kenya, Nigeria, and South Africa, are invited by YouTube to participate in the FIFTY DEEP Music Grants.

FIFTY DEEP will highlight up to 2,000 Hip Hop videos that have revolutionized the industry. With the help of these movies, music lovers of all ages will be able to remember and discover songs and music videos they may not have seen or heard before, in addition to favourites like Fifty Deep, Fashion Killas, Sunny Daze, Its The Remix, Street Code, and more.
Eligibility Criteria for YouTube DEEP Music Grants
Be you a rising star or established, you’re eligible for these grants if you are a Black songwriter or producer in the below-listed countries:
- United States
- United Kingdom
- Brazil
- Australia
- Kenya
- Nigeria
- South Africa
ideal candidates should be willing to collaborate with other songwriters & producers in the program
They should be able to establish a long-term channel strategy, and contribute to music releasing between Q1 2024 to Q2 2024.”
