Successful applicants will receive comprehensive training, including knowledge, skills, and technical expertise in open mapping techniques. This training aims to enhance their leadership abilities and contribute to the development of their respective chapters.

Fellows will benefit from pre-departure sessions, ongoing mentorship from international experts throughout the duration of the fellowship, and the chance to connect with other participants through a dedicated online community after the workshop.

Expectations

After the workshop, fellows are expected  to return to their home chapters and apply the knowledge, skills, and capacity gained. This may involve customizing activities to meet the specific needs of their home chapter, such as organizing leadership seminars, establishing leadership transition plans, launching data collection initiatives to address climate impacts, implementing gender-focused programs, fostering allyship support, conducting technical workshops, or other activities based on the needs identified after the summit.

Subsequently, they are expected to submit a blog to YouthMappers documenting their experiences.
