WhatsApp aims to simplify the process of switching between multiple accounts. If you have two separate WhatsApp accounts, you will soon have the option to access both from a single device. Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Meta, announced on Thursday that WhatsApp is introducing the ability to switch between accounts on Android, eliminating the need to carry an extra device or log out of your account repeatedly to achieve this.
WhatsApp Will Soon Allow You to Remain Logged in to Two Accounts Simultaneously
This new feature will simplify the management of your conversations across multiple accounts. For instance, if you use one WhatsApp account for work and another for messaging friends and family, it will be available in the coming weeks.

Meta mentions that you will still require a different phone number and SIM card (or a phone compatible with multi-SIM or eSIM) to establish a second account. You will also need the second phone or its SIM card to receive the one-time passcode sent by WhatsApp via SMS to access your second account on a different device.
Following this initial verification, the app will function for both accounts without the necessity of the second device or SIM, according to WhatsApp spokesperson Ellie Heatrick.
Meta has actively been striving to enhance the accessibility of your WhatsApp account on various devices. They introduced a multi-device feature in 2021 that enables you to utilize your account on Android tablets, browsers, and computers. More recently, Meta extended this feature to encompass additional smartphones, eliminating the previous restriction that confined your account to a single phone.
