You’re invited to apply for the 2024 Umi Mentorship Program, a platform designed to provide support, information, and a sense of community for African mothers and their little ones.
Umi is more than a platform; it’s a community that offers mothers the resources they need to care for their children and themselves. We believe in creating an atmosphere where moms can collaborate to raise well-rounded children while maintaining successful careers and a balanced life.
Mentorship Program
We initiated the Umi Mentorship Program in June 2023, catering to mothers who aspire to have successful careers without compromising their roles on the home front. Our program has successfully paired mothers in Nigeria, South Africa, and the United Kingdom with experienced mentors, supporting them in their journeys of motherhood and professionalism.
About Our Mentors
Umi mentors are seasoned moms and top professionals in their respective fields. They have successfully raised or are currently raising sound, healthy, wholesome, and sane children. You can read about some of them here.
Eligibility
- You must be an African mom living in Africa or the diaspora
- Your child must be between the ages of 0-3 years
- You must have the desire to excel as both a mom and a professional
- You must be interested in being paired with an experienced mom and professional who has walked a similar path.
Program Duration
The mentorship program will run for three months, with the next cohort scheduled to run from February to April 2024.
