On Wednesday, Ring announced the latest inclusion to its lineup of battery-powered video doorbells known as the Battery Doorbell Plus.
And just like the previous battery doorbell from Ring, the Video Doorbell 4, the new Battery Doorbell Plus requires no form of wiring for a simple, non-invasive installation. Other features of this product are specifically the head-to-toe field of view as well as enhanced video resolution which has a closer resemblance to the wired Video Doorbell Pro 2. Maybe the best of all, at $180, the Battery Doorbell Plus is way cheaper than the standard pricing on both of the previous doorbells.
Features and Specs
The Battery Doorbell Plus features a 150-degree-by-150-degree aspect, the first “head-to-toe” view on a battery-powered doorbell from the Ring Company. Alongside a wider field of view, the new doorbell sports a 1536p HD resolution which is the highest of any Ring battery doorbell ever made.
The doorbell as you should know also incorporates improved energy-saving features like People Only and Motion Zones detection for a battery life up to three times stronger and better than the first battery doorbell from Ring. And similar to prior models from Ring, the Battery Doorbell Plus as you should know have a quick-release rechargeable battery pack. You also can connect the doorbell to a compatible solar panel and then eliminate, or to some point reduce, the need for charging altogether.
Other popular Ring doorbell features, like Advanced Motion Detection, Quick Responses, and Privacy Zones are all included with the Battery Doorbell Plus. And as to be expected from the Amazon-owned company, Alexa integration is also added.
