Posts on Threads might not show up on Instagram and Facebook, since Threads appears to be working on a new privacy feature titled “Suggesting posts on other apps” according to reverse engineer Alessandro palazzi.
Posts on Threads Might Not Show Up on Instagram and Facebook
Meta may soon provide this option to prevent your Threads postings from showing up on other users’ Instagram and Facebook feeds if it bothers you. From the look of things, it appears that you can disable Threads from suggesting your posts on Facebook, Instagram, or both using this feature.
If you have a public profile on either network, Meta may currently recommend your Threads posts to other users. This is why you may have recently noticed carousels of Threads posts positioned between your Instagram and Facebook feeds. It is obvious that Meta uses recommended posts to advertise and expand its X (formerly Twitter) substitute. However, it seems Meta may be developing a mechanism for users to opt out.
Although there have been speculations that Threads has been having trouble holding onto users since its debut, CEO of Meta Mark Zuckerberg stated last month that Threads has almost 100 million active users per month. Additionally, it keeps adding new features, such as edit buttons, GIFs, and polls.
