The MTN Media Innovation Programme 2024, in collaboration with Pan Atlantic University, presents a unique opportunity for young African media enthusiasts to harness the power of technology and make a meaningful impact in the industry. Applications are currently being accepted until the 5th of April 2024.

MTN Media Innovation Programme

The MTN Media Innovation Programme (MIP) is more than just an internship; it’s a unique program designed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills needed to thrive in the world of media. Over the course of six months, selected candidates will participate in a training program that covers a variety of topics, from multimedia storytelling to digital content creation.

The Media Innovation Programme (MIP) offers participants an in-depth knowledge into the intersection of media and technology. Through hands-on workshops, interactive seminars, and real-world projects, participants will gain invaluable insights into emerging trends and best practices in the industry.

The MTN Media Innovation Programme is fully funded. Selected participants will receive financial support to cover all expenses related to the program, including travel, accommodation, and training materials.

Benefits

  • The six-week program is structured to provide participants with a holistic understanding of the media sector. From mastering storytelling techniques to leveraging cutting-edge technology, every aspect of the curriculum is designed to empower participants to become future leaders in the field.

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for the MTN Media Innovation Programme, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Be a media professional/practitioner
  • Possess a valid International Passport
  • Successfully pass a written test and any subsequent interviews
  • Obtain written consent from employers to participate in the program

  • Click on the ‘Apply Here’ button and proceed to the application portal.
  • Complete all required personal information and upload relevant work samples.
  • Await confirmation of your application status.

Programme Structure

To inspire creativity, provide media professionals with better tools for their jobs, and establish industry sustainability.

  • 33 Days of Instruction: During the training, which will last 33 days, all accepted candidates will attend classes.
  • 7 Days in South Africa: A trip to South Africa for a 7-day training programme, with all expenses covered.
  • One day at MTN Nigeria Headquarters: Tutoring will take place at both the MTN Group Headquarters and MTN Nigeria Headquarters for candidates.
  • One-Day Industry Visits and Tours: An instruction session held at the Innovation Hub.
