LoCoFoRest Training Programme 2024

As we move away from a fossil fuel-based world and towards a circular bioeconomy, forest landscapes are becoming more crucial. Properly managed natural forests are essential for climate change adaptation and mitigation, maintaining water quality and availability, and fulfilling the increasing global need for wood-based products.

LoCoFoRest aims to enhance the capabilities of national, regional, and local institutions and organizations. By participating in the programme, individuals can acquire the skills and knowledge necessary to strengthen their organizations’ capacity to support local communities and entrepreneurs in making forest and landscape restoration sustainable, as well as taking advantage of new value chains and the growing demands of a biobased economy.
