In this capacity, Reckitt aims to act as a catalyst, backing innovative solutions to facilitate widespread adoption.
Program Detail
Reckitt has been a proud supporter of the Lead2030 SDG6 challenge since 2019, collaborating with three exceptional social entrepreneurs who have developed innovative strategies to address SDG6. Building on this success, Reckitt aims to further its support in 2024 by backing innovations that generate tangible outcomes in expanding access to clean water, sanitation, or hygiene. There is a specific interest in innovations that prioritize the well-being of children and women/girls.
Although Reckitt is open to receiving applications that address various aspects of WASH, there is a specific focus on innovations that:
- use digital technology in creative ways to expand the reach and accessibility of water, sanitation, and hygiene solutions on a large scale.
- Support the promotion of proper hand hygiene practices within underserved communities.
Benefit
The solution that wins will receive:
- A grant of US$50,000 from Reckitt.
- Complete funding to participate in the One Young World Summit 2024.
- 12 months of guidance and support from a dedicated team of Reckitt professionals. This mentorship team will work collaboratively to expedite the progress of your initiative or organization, based on its specific requirements.
Eligibility Criteria
To be qualified for the Lead2030 Challenge for SDG 6, solutions must:
- Demonstrate alignment with the SDG6 indicators.
- Established by an individual between the ages of 18 and 30.
- Display a well-defined timeframe, identify key stakeholders and beneficiaries, and propose reasonable and well-considered outcomes.
- Currently in a pilot, implementation, or scaling phase.
- Create a positive social impact, such as fostering educational achievements, offering employment opportunities, or developing skills.
- Capable of achieving efficiency and sustaining itself independently through generated resources, investments, and/or donations.
- Adequately measured or capable of being measured.
- Show potential for increased impact through expansion in scope or size, and/or into other regions.
