Applications are currently ongoing for the Keeling Curve Prize 2024. Keeling Curve Prize, which grants $50,000 annually to 10 global initiatives demonstrating the potential to decrease, substitute, or eliminate greenhouse gases in the atmosphere.
Since 2018, a total of $1.75 million has been awarded to 60 nonprofits, for-profits, and startups, following the thorough vetting of over 1,130 viable solutions. This initiative has also cultivated one of the largest networks of global warming mitigators on a global scale.
The Keeling Curve Prize is not only a financial reward, but it also ignites growth for numerous deserving climate leaders at a pace necessary to achieve significant and enduring reductions in emissions across the globe.
Applicants come from over 109 countries worldwide, representing emerging markets, BIPOC- and women-led organizations, as well as some of the world’s most under-resourced and vulnerable communities.

Prize
- Following a thorough evaluation conducted by their diverse and skilled team of experts, 10 recipients are granted $50,000 each to expand and thrive.
Eligibility Criteria
- Entries for active projects or programs from any location around the world are encouraged.
- The Keeling Curve Prize is specifically for ongoing programs and projects.
- Submissions focused on past endeavors, unimplemented concepts, or untested hypotheses will not be accepted.
- Keeling Curve Prize applications need to be completed in the English language. The accuracy and legitimacy of translations cannot be guaranteed by GWMP.
- Your project may fit into multiple prize categories. While you must specify a primary category, you can also list secondary categories for consideration. However, applicants can only win in one category per year.
- Those who have not previously received an award are invited to apply in subsequent years.
- Previous prize awardees may submit applications for new projects that differ from their previous winning project and employ different methods and approaches to reduce or increase greenhouse gas emissions.
- Submissions that do not make an effort to quantify emissions reductions or address the project’s functional and financial scalability (Questions #8 through #10) will not be reviewed.
- By completing an application, you are granting the Global Warming Mitigation Project permission to share information about your project as it sees fit. Requests for confidentiality can be specified within the application.
