Founded in 2023, Jump n Pass aims to revolutionize the shopping experience by blending online and offline elements. Through this partnership with Justrite, customers can now enjoy the convenience of mobile self-checkout in all 26 Justrite stores nationwide.
According to Tunde Ademuyiwa, the Founder and CEO of Jump n Pass, the service has already been launched successfully at Justrite Superstores in Bariga, Lagos, with plans to expand to other locations in the coming weeks.
How the Mobile Self-Checkout Feature Works
The mobile self-checkout feature offers faster checkouts, reducing queues at cash counters by an impressive 60%. This benefits both customers and stores, enhancing the overall shopping experience and increasing revenue potential.
Here’s how it works: Upon entering the store, customers scan a barcode using the Jump n Pass app, which syncs with the store’s inventory. They can then scan items with their smartphones, add them to their online cart, and complete payment digitally.
While a store attendant verifies the purchases, the entire process significantly accelerates checkout times.
Limitations to the Service
However, there are some limitations to the service, as it is currently only available for select items to prevent longer queues. Nevertheless, it aligns perfectly with Justrite’s high foot traffic model.
In addition to streamlining checkouts, stores also gain access to inventory finance options, while Jump n Pass generates revenue by charging a small convenience fee to customers who opt for the self-checkout feature.

With ambitious goals to capture a significant portion of Justrite’s foot traffic, Jump n Pass is poised for growth. However, expanding the service to additional stores will require concerted efforts and strategic planning.
