HACEY has announced the Applications for the 2024 NextGen SRHR Fellowship Program. The Fellowship welcomes applications from individuals in Non-Governmental Organizations and Civil Society Organizations in the following States: Ekiti, Osun, Ondo, Oyo, and Lagos.
In our world today, access to sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) remains a critical issue, and initiatives like the HACEY NextGen SRHR Fellowship are timely. The Organization’s vision is to empower individuals with a passion for Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) and also amplify advocacy efforts in several organizations.
To participate in this program, Candidates must be individuals or small groups already engaging in SSRH and must have demonstrated commitment and effort, even in a voluntary capacity in the past few years.
Overview of HACEY NextGen SRHR Fellowship
The HACEY NextGen SRHR Fellowship is a movement towards a future where every individual has the knowledge, agency, and access to make informed choices about their sexual and reproductive health.
HACEY, a non-profit organization was founded in 2007. It is committed to supporting women, girls, and young people in Nigeria. The organization embodies this vision through its innovative i.C.A.R.E approach – Innovation, Capacity development, Advocacy, Research, and Education.
Eligibility Criteria for NextGen SRHR Fellowship
To ensure the program’s effectiveness and impact, HACEY has outlined specific eligibility criteria for prospective Organizations and Individuals, these criteria include:
- NGOs and CSOs: Non-Governmental Organizations and Civil Society Organizations dedicated to promoting SRHR.
- Geographical Scope: The Fellowship is open to eligible Organizations with operations within the following regions. Osun, Ondo, Ekiti, Oyo, and Lagos. Focusing on these regions aims to address the unique SRHR challenges and contexts within the areas. Channelling interventions to the specific needs of adolescents and young people.
- Availability for Training Workshop: Prospective participants must confirm their availability for the interactive training workshop.
- Documented Engagement in SRHR: Evidence showcasing past and current engagement in SRHR initiatives.
