While no official word has been given by Rockstar concerning the topic of pricing, The PS5 and Xbox Series X versions of the two games have gone up for pre-order, offering us a much better picture of how much they actually would cost during launch and beyond.

Unfortunately, as IGN points out, it looks like there won’t be any free cross-gen upgrades for “Grand Theft Auto 5” and “GTA Online,” which happens to be a particular bummer when you consider that by the time gamers purchase “GTA 5” and its online counterpart on PS5 and Xbox Series X, a lot of them would have bought the game across three different console generations, including the Xbox 360/PS3 and Xbox One/PS4.

Once again, there are several reasons why “GTA 5” and GTA Online” never fail to rake in millions of dollars every day, and this is not just because Rockstar is giving them away for free.

Once the promotion is over, “GTA Online” will run as a standalone product for $19.99.
