Grant

  • The grants will be given at varying funding levels, which will be determined by GenScript’s internal committee based on the project’s budget requirements. The maximum amount that can be awarded for eligible projects is set at $100,000.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Researchers from all over the world are welcome to apply, and no restrictions based on geographic location apply. International applicants are encouraged to submit their proposals.
  • Projects should begin promptly after receiving grant funding from GenScript, and the research activities are generally expected to be completed within 12 months or less.
  • Proposals must align with the program’s focus areas in life science research, which include but are not limited to gene and cell therapy development, antibody drug discovery, vaccine development, diagnostics, and plant sciences.
  • Eligible organizations may include academic and research institutions, universities, biotechnology companies, and other entities involved in life sciences research. However, government entities and officials, as well as healthcare organizations and professionals, are not eligible to take part.
  • Applicants must be legally recognized and authorized to conduct research in their respective jurisdictions.
  • Employees of GenScript or its affiliates, along with their immediate family members and household members, are not eligible to apply.
  • Each eligible entity is allowed to submit only one (1) application representing the entity’s sole efforts. Collaborations among two (2) or more entities will not be considered unless GenScript provides explicit written consent.

A total of 40 grants are planned to be awarded based on scientific merit, potential for impact, and strategic alignment with GenScript’s primary areas of scientific interest.

How To Apply for GenScript Life Science Research Grant Program 2024

  • Applications for the 2024 GenScript Life Science Research Grant Program must be submitted electronically in English using the designated application link. Alternatively, completed application forms can be sent to the provided email address on the official website.
  • The proposed projects should start within six (6) months of receiving the grant funding from GenScript, and the research activities are typically expected to be completed within one year or less.
