Established in 1949, the Edward R. Murrow Press Fellowship is dedicated to advancing the standard of responsible and discerning journalism demonstrated by the renowned journalist Edward R. Murrow. Each year, one distinguished foreign correspondent or editor is chosen as the recipient of the Edward R. Murrow Press Fellowship. The fellow will spend ten months in residence at CFR’s headquarters in New York.
The program offers the fellow the opportunity to engage in in-depth analysis and writing, broaden their intellectual and professional horizons, and participate in CFR’s active schedule of meetings and events. As part of the David Rockefeller Studies Program, the fellow will work alongside full-time, adjunct, and visiting fellows with expertise covering a wide range of significant foreign policy issues affecting the United States and the global community.
