The CyberGirls Cybersecurity Professional Training is an empowerment program for young women across Africa. This 1-year program is not just about cybersecurity, as it’s designed to promote economic independence and global opportunities for Young African Girls.
CyberGirls is a catalyst for change. This fellowship focuses on imparting globally sought-after cybersecurity skills, directly contributing to Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) such as No Poverty, Education, and Reduced Inequalities.

Eligibility Criteria for CyberGirls Cybersecurity Professional Training
To be part of the 2024 CyberGirls Cybersecurity Professional Training, you need to meet the requirements below:
- You’re a female aged 18–28 years old
- Hold citizenship or a resident of an African country
- Proficient in English
- Completed High school/Secondary school
- You’re ready to commit fully to 8 months of intensive training
- No prior job in cybersecurity or major cybersecurity certification
- CyberGirls welcomes individuals with disabilities, provided their abilities allow computer usage.
How to apply for CyberGirls Cybersecurity Professional Training 2024
- Interested and qualified Individuals have up to three (3) weeks to fill up and send in the application.
- You will provide personal information in the appropriate section, such as your contact details, educational background, career history, a personal statement of 3000 words maximum, with a two-minute application video.
- Make sure you give accurate and verified information; otherwise, you will be immediately disqualified from the application process and will not be able to retain your fellowship slot.
- Once your application is complete, tap on the “Submit” button.
- Please be sure to carefully evaluate your application since once you’ve done this, you won’t be able to change it or any uploads you made with it.
- Upon successful application submission, a pop-up will be shown to you as an acknowledgement of receipt and an email confirmation.
