Applicants are invited to the Arnold Ventures Criminal Justice Innovation Fellowships 2024. To improve and make criminal justice practices more effective and equitable, there is a need for innovative policy solutions that can be implemented by local, state, and federal policymakers.
Arnold Ventures Criminal Justice Innovation Fellowships
The Arnold Ventures Criminal Justice Innovation Fellowships aim to support five post-doctoral fellows engaged in policy-relevant causal research.
Starting in September 2024, these fellowships will be available for up to three years. Fellows will focus on conducting research directly applicable to criminal justice practices in the United States. Additionally, Arnold Ventures expects them to dedicate up to 25% of their time to contributing to research projects.
Purpose of the Fellowship
The goal is to create and evaluate cost-effective and scalable policy solutions that enhance the effectiveness and fairness of criminal justice practices.
Benefits of the Fellowship
- Fellows can reside in any location of their choice.
- Fellows residing in the United States will receive a salary of $120,000 along with full benefits, including an annual salary increment.
- Alternatively, fellows who choose to live outside of the United States will receive fellowship stipends totaling $120,000.
How to Apply
Material needed:
- Current CV: Provide an updated curriculum vitae (CV).
- Research Paper: Include a sample of your research paper.
- References: You also need references.
- Proposed Research Agenda: Submit a proposed research agenda for the fellowship period. This agenda should not exceed 5 pages (single-spaced). It should outline a program of policy-relevant causal research aimed at innovating and evaluating cost-effective and scalable policy solutions, contributing to the improvement of the efficacy and equity of criminal justice practices.
