Zegtel, a Nigerian virtual network operator (MVNO), has announced plans to invest $21.8 million over the next five years to expand mobile connectivity across the country.
This investment is aimed at bridging the digital gap and providing affordable connectivity to millions of Nigerians who currently lack access to telecom services.

The initiative comes as Nigeria, along with other developing African countries, focuses on improving its digital infrastructure, including undersea cables, to enhance access to telecom services.
Professor Victor Izegbu, Executive Chairman of Zegtel, emphasized the importance of reliable access to communication in today’s interconnected world, stating that it is a basic human right.

Moreover, Izegbu highlighted Zegtel’s intention to offer an extensive array of value-added services beyond the basic offerings of voice and data, which are predominant in Nigeria.
