WhatsApp is reportedly adding a secret code feature into the chat app, which is simply meant to provide additional security and protection to a sensitive conversation.
The Meta-owned chat app just recently announced the feature Thursday, which as you should know builds directly onto WhatsApp’s Chat Lock feature that in question hides conversations into a folder that requires its very own password, fingerprint, or even Face ID to unlock.
The secret code feature as you should know enables the option of requiring a separate password that is individual to the conversation thread in a bid to view and even respond to messages that are within it. Conversations that are locked behind a secret code can also be placed in the Chat Lock folder, just so you know or they can simply remain available from the standard chat list.
When Will This Feature Rollout
WhatsApp has stated that the secret code feature in question starts its rollout immediately, and will therefore be available worldwide in the next couple of months.

The new privacy option in question arrives just after a month of updates in the texting space, which reportedly included Apple announcing that the Messages app of the company will support the RCS standard sometime in the coming year.
