Developer of Alien Hominid, The Behemoth has just confirmed that its two upcoming titles, Alien Hominid HD and Alien Hominid Invasion, are both going to be released right at the beginning of the coming month, on November 1.

For those that are unfamiliar with the whole new development, Alien Hominid HD as you should know is, as the name would suggest in general, a remaster of the original Alien Hominid, Adobe Flash run-and-gun game which was initially released on the Newgrounds website back in the year 2002. Meanwhile, Alien Hominid Invasion on the other hand is a re-imagining of the classic game with all the modern features. In a recent interview at WASD x IGN, producer Ian Moreno prior to this revealed to TRG that Invasion answers the question, “What would a modern version of Alien Hominid be?”

Description of the Two New Alien Hominid Games

While both games in question can be played solo, Invasion will boast four-player local and online co-op, as well as a non-linear level experience that lets players to select a path to follow while they reportedly blast through randomly-assembled Earth neighborhoods with powerful weapons. Meanwhile, HD on the other hand will include a two-player local co-op, as well as all the mini-games that are found in the original title.

What Moreno Has To Say about the Games Development

In the aforementioned interview, Moreno revealed to interviewers that the game preservation in question was a “big aspect” of the decision to develop a remaster of Alien Hominid. And for the time being, the only way to play the game on modern consoles is through Xbox 360 backward compatibility on Xbox Series X|S, but The Behemoth, on the other hand, wanted to ensure that it remained accessible, and “bring it to younger generations”.

“With older consoles, they always eventually sunset,” Moreno stated. “In short, this is part of our way of preserving and contributing to preserving games in general.”

For veteran Alien Hominid fans in question, Moreno reportedly teased that Invasion promises some direct insight into what happened at the end of the first and initial game. He stated: “We’re also excited because there’s a ton of lore that we’re about to unleash on people, and I don’t know if they’re ready for it.”

The Games Availability and Platforms

Alien Hominid HD as well as Invasion are coming to Steam, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. A discounted bundle of the two games on the other hand will be released at the same time.
