Fortnite chapter 2, season 8 is all about the cubes – finally, the alien invasion is over. And now the Fortnite Island is full of cubes. Just recently, season 8 of Fortnite battle royales’ second chapter just launched. And guess what it’s called? It’s called “cubed.”
Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 8 Is All About the Cubes
The name one can say is really strange. But according to the game developer epic, the cubes that once powered the alien mothership have now been set free to cause havoc on the island. And also with all-new seasons, the update simply means a new introduction of new characters, weapons, characters, and even portals to teleport players to new realms that are monster-filled. The launch of this new season took place during an event that took place over the weekend.
Fortnite Seasons 8 Storyline
According to epic, here is the basic story of the game:
“The alien and IO war is over, but a new war has taken shape, one where you are a combatant. After Slone double-crossed you and left you to perish on the mothership, the cubes that powered it are now free. These things are a bigger threat to the island than those aliens could have ever been. They have no face, no speech, but they are sentient and have six sides of malice.
If you think the corruption they have caused is bad now, you have no idea what can happen if we let them stomp all over the island. It doesn’t matter if you were pro-alien or pro-IO, it will take all the help we can get to keep the island from falling. It’s up to everybody – including you – so take my information below and put it to good use.”
Fortnite Seasons 8 Gameplay
A new element called the sideways seems to be one of the biggest changes if not the biggest in chapter 8 of this game. This is described as a dark, malevolent, monster-filled reality that is of course spread by the cubes. Players that want to access this dimension can do this via portals.
And in addition to monsters found in this dimension, there are no buildings and it features low gravity. This portal will comprise various island locations. Players will be able to create superpower sideways weapons from these areas by crafting components. Also in this season, classic guns will be making a return. There will also be the automatic sniper and the harpoon gun.
There will now be more focus on collaboration between players that can work together to reinforce the island. And this is what epic has to say about it: “with fellow loopers across the island, donate the bars you earn to construction sites where you want to see turret built up. In the future, we will need you to come together and decide which new weapons to develop, which ones to unvault, and more.”
Lastly, there will be a new battle pass to purchase that goes with the new season. And this time, it includes characters unlocking like carnage, a soldier named J.B. Chimpanski, and a monster hunter called Torin. There will also be a buff unicorn called Fabio Sparklemane.
