1. The United States Government Scholarships

3. Government of UK & British Commonwealth Scholarships

This program is the British Chevening Scholarships offered by the UK government. The UK government’s global scholarship programme is offered to reward excellent and outstanding scholars from Chevening-eligible countries around the world. Basically, the awards are for a one-year Master’s degree. The Scholarships cover tuition fees, a living allowance at a set rate for an individual, an economy class return airfare to the UK, and additional grants to cover essential expenditures. 4. United Kingdom Commonwealth Scholarships for Developing Commonwealth Countries

United Kingdom Commonwealth Scholarships are usually targeted at students from developing Commonwealth countries who want to pursue masters and Ph.D. studies in the United Kingdom.

For each successful applicant, the scholarship covers airfare to and from the United Kingdom, tuition and examination fees, personal maintenance allowance, thesis grant, an initial arrival allowance, etc. About 300 UK Commonwealth Scholarships are awarded each year.

5. European Government Scholarships

In the Netherlands, you will find the Orange Knowledge Programme, this program aims to advance the development of the capacity, knowledge, and quality of both individuals as well as organizations both in the field of higher and vocational education and in other fields related to the themes in the programme countries.

7. Government of Flanders – Master Mind Scholarships, Belgium

The Master Mind Scholarships was newly established by the Government of Flanders, it is aimed to promote the internationalization of Flemish Higher Education. Usually, up to 45 scholarships are awarded to excellent and outstanding Master’s students from all countries. Scholarship holder receives a maximum of €8,000 per academic year. However, the Flemish Host Institution can ask the scholarship holders for a tuition fee of a maximum €109 a year.

About 31 students from developing countries benefit from VLIR-UOS annual scholarships, such developing countries are usually from Asia, Africa, and Latin America.
