Below are the AWE program’s eligibility requirements:
Eligibility Requirement for MTN Advancing Women Entrepreneurs (AWE) Project
To be eligible for the MTN Advancing Women Entrepreneurs (AWE) Project, Candidates must be:
- Up to 18 years and above.
- Female Ugandan entrepreneurs.
- Female entrepreneurs in Uganda running the following businesses:
Limited Liability Companies
Sole proprietorships
Joint Venture Businesses
Business Associations
- Applicants must have zero criminal records. Any Applicant found with criminal records shall be automatically disqualified.

Selection Criteria for the AWE Project
Selection of Candidates or applications is based on the following criteria:
- All applicants are required to participate in the procurement technology categories of;
IT equipment and related services
Network services
Digital products and accessories
Engineering services
Professional training services
- Deadline: Applications must be submitted before the specified Deadline of November, 1st 2023 5 p.m.
