BBforPeace Foundation, in partnership with Peace Shapers and the Temple Foundation, is excited to announce a Call for Applications for young individuals who are interested in participating in the 2024 BBforPeace Young Peacebuilders Fellowship.
The BBforPeace Young Peacebuilders Fellowship aims to mobilize efforts towards implementing United Nations Security Council Resolutions 2250, 2419, and 2535, the African Union Continental Framework on Youth, Peace, and Security, and existing national frameworks on Youth, Peace, and Security (YPS) in Nigeria.
Specifically, the fellowship is focused on carrying out Pillar 1 (Participation) of the YPS agenda, which emphasizes empowering youth in peacebuilding and conflict resolution. The goal is to increase youth representation in decision-making processes at local, national, regional, and international levels within institutions and mechanisms for conflict prevention and resolution.
Application Requirements
- Required to be a Nigerian citizen or living in Nigeria
- Required to be a young person between the ages of 18-35
- Required to be currently working or willing to work on projects related to youth, peace and security, and climate change
- Must be available to participate in the 12-week (3-month) fellowship.
