AMC Plus is set to launch an ad-supported subscription plan this very year. And as of the time of this writing, the specific launch date as well as the price of the plan is unknown.
AMC Plus Ad-Supported Plan
Streaming service and platform AMC Plus on Monday said that it has plans to roll out an ad-supported subscription plan in the latter parts of this year. The new tier in question will let more people to watch the content of the service for a lower price, and thus draw more advertisers, as per a press release from AMC Networks.
Launch Date and Price of the New Plan
The said release in question did not confirm the new price or exact launch date of the new plan and tier, but it however said that it would be available “by October.” AMC Plus at the moment is $9 a month or $84 annually.
Other Streaming Services to Follow Similar Steps
This very new plan and tier means that AMC Plus is now following in the footsteps of services such as Disney Plus, Hulu, Max( which is the new name for HBO Max beginning in May), and Paramount Plus. AMC Plus, as you should know, includes content such as Mad Men, The Walking Dead, and Hell on Wheels, as well as other titles from IFC Films Unlimited, Shudder, and Sundance Now.
