The aim is to visually capture and communicate the essence of bravery, ethical leadership, and the challenges faced in combatting corruption and upholding human rights, particularly in more advanced societies.

Submission Details

  • Theme: Courage and leadership in the battle against corruption, with a focus on transparency, accountability, the rule of law, and human rights.
  • Emphasis on addressing corruption and human rights violations in developed nations.
  • Photographers are encouraged to submit entries throughout the year.

Benefits

  • Distinguished winning photographs receive a prize of CAD 1,000.
  • Winning entries are prominently showcased on the Allard Prize website.
  • Each photograph, accompanied by a concise description and the photographer’s name, will grace the website for six months.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Open to individuals who have reached the age of maturity in their country of residence at the time of entry.
  • Members of the Allard Prize Photography Competition Jury, the Allard Prize Committee, and the Allard Prize Advisory Board are not eligible during their terms and for one year following the end of their terms.

Requirements

  • Accepted file types: jpg, png, jpeg.
  • Max. file size: 512 MB, Max. files: 4.
  • Horizontal images should be at least 1180 pixels wide, and vertical images should be at least 740 pixels tall.
  • No borders on image files; and no white or black framing.

  • Enter the photography competition to express your perspective on corruption and human rights issues and contribute to revealing the truth.
