Call for applications – Al-Ummah Zakat & Sadaqah Foundation Student Loan Program 2024! The foundation is inviting suitably qualified candidates for its Student loan program, offering up to ₦250,000.00 revolving loan fund from November 2023. There is no specified deadline, however, interested and qualified Applicants are advised to apply early.

Al-Ummah Zakat & Sadaqah Foundation Student Loan of ₦250,000 is offered only to Muslim Students pursuing an eligible PhD program in any Nigerian accredited University and currently at the post-field stage of their programme.

Al-Ummah Zakat & Sadaqah Foundation Student Loan Program – Overview

After completing a simple loan application form, valid nominations from sponsors designated by UZSFNg, support from a guarantor (who may be the applicant), and the availability of cash at the time of application, one can access the Program fund.

The loan has a 12-month repayment moratorium and is repaid in 10 equal instalments of ₦25,000 spread out over ten months, giving the recipients repayment flexibility.

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for the Program, Applicants must fufil the conditions below:

  • Applicants must be a Muslim PhD student (mandatory) to be considered
  • He or She must be at the post-field stage of the PhD program.
  • Is expected to complete the designated loan application form accurately
  • Possesses a valid nomination by a UZSFN-appointed sponsor.
  • Applicants must also secure support from a guarantor, which can be the applicant with the sponsor’s agreement.
  • Confirmation of fund availability at the time of application.
