ECOKOSOVO Photography Competition for the Fourth edition is now open. The 4th edition of the #ECOKOSOVO Photography Competition has been initiated by UNDP, in collaboration with WHO and UNV in Kosovo offices, under the patronage of the Healthier Kosovo 2 Project.
Main Focus of the 4th #ECOKOSOVO Photography Competition 2023
The Grand Duchy of Luxembourg has generously funded the project. Similar to the past, this year’s aim is to exhibit compelling photographs that showcase the significance of environmental conservation and healthcare across Kosovo.
Given the urgency of the situation, it is imperative to take action now, as nature cannot wait. An excellent photograph has the power to educate and inspire people to make a positive change.
4th #ECOKOSOVO Photography Competition 2023- Theme
UNDP Kosovo is extending an invitation to both professional and amateur photographers, explorers, and adventure travelers throughout Kosovo. The purpose is to participate in a competition that aims to emphasize the urgent situation concerning our natural surroundings and inspire individuals to take immediate action. The theme chosen for the competition is ‘Now so that nature is not gone!’
Benefit
- Those who enter their photos before 30 November 2023 will have a chance to win one of three prizes.
Eligibility Criteria
- Photographers, explorers, and adventure travelers from all backgrounds in Kosovo, whether professional or non-professional, are welcome to take part in the competition.
Selection Criteria
- The judges will choose the winning photographs based on their artistic expression, creativity, and originality. Prizes will be awarded to those with the most impactful images. The announcement of the winners will be made on EcoKosovo’s social media platforms once the submission period ends, so make sure to stay updated and engaged.
How to Apply
Participants are encouraged to capture and share a high-resolution image showcasing the beauty of nature, including its greenery and diverse wildlife. They should also highlight the challenges nature faces due to climate change and human activities. In addition, participants should envision a world without these landscapes and wildlife, and express their thoughts with a sincere and thoughtful message.
The image and message should be shared on social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, using the hashtags #ecokosovo4 and tagging @ ecokosovo and @undp.kosovo.
