XDefiant announces another delay after the inconsistencies of the public beta. This news is coming just a month after the company last announced the last delay. With the new development, gamers are somewhat disappointed.
XDefiant Announces Another Delay
It has now been confirmed that XDefiant’s ‘Preseason’ release is being pushed back yet again after the just recent public test session of the first-person shooter unveiled “inconsistencies in the game experience” that the developers must address just before the final launch.
The XDefiant team in a statement that was posted to X (formerly known as Twitter) reportedly thanked players for joining in, but however, admitted that some things first need to be ironed out just before the game can be released.
“Thank you to everyone who participated in our recent Public Test Session and continues to stand alongside us as we build XDefiant,” the statement reveals. “The PTS once again showed us your appreciation for our fast-paced gunplay, uniquely crafted maps, objective-driven modes, and iconic Faction roster.”
“But it also surfaced some inconsistencies in the game experience that we need to address prior to launching our Preseason,” it continues. “So we’ve made the hard decision to delay the Preseason of XDefiant.”
XDefiant Team Promises to Work to Address the Issues Soon
The statement in question promises that the “team will continue working to address these issues” to ultimately “make sure we deliver on our goal of being a best-in-class arcade shooter”.
XDefiant’s Failed Console Certification
This new delay in question comes just one month after it was initially revealed that XDefiant had failed console certification. And at the time, executive producer Mark Rubin reportedly stated that had it passed, the game would then have been able to ship at the end of the month of August. However, after getting the “Not Pass” result in the middle of August, it was then expected that it would instead be released in the months of September or October after some said fixes.
The New Release Date and Availability
After this latest news, it is no longer clear as to when the game is scheduled to make its much-anticipated launch, as the team has not outlined a new release window for it publicly. However, the game is still set to come to PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC at some point in time in the future.
