Commitment of UNICEF 2024
Applicants must be willing to:
- Serve a one-year term from August 1, 2024, to May 30, 2025. Those interested in serving more than one term can re-apply on unicefusa.org.
- Dedicate 3-5 hours per week to council-related projects, meetings, trainings, and activities.
- Lead youth engagement initiatives and work well in organized and motivated teams.
- Attend weekly meetings on Tuesdays, 7:30-8:30 PM EST.
- Participate in both in-person and virtual gatherings/trainings with the entire council. UNICEF USA covers travel and lodging costs for in-person activities.
- Attend the following training sessions:
- Summer Training: August 7 (7:30-8:30 PM EST), August 17 (12-4 PM EST), August 18 (12-4 PM EST), August 27 (7:30-8:30 PM EST).
- Fall Training: October 23-27.
