The Netherlands’ Orange Corners acceleration program in Ghana, in collaboration with GrowthAfrica (Africa’s top business accelerator), Fidelity Bank, Emergent Payments, Friesland Campina, Vivo Energy Ghana, Meridian Port Services (MPS), Koudijs, Peoples Pension Trust and Cargill, is a project aimed at promoting the growth of ambitious entrepreneurs and supporting Ghana’s entrepreneurship ecosystem.
The program offers a structured business acceleration course, which includes access to capital, mentorship networks, and market opportunities, to help young entrepreneurs formalize their ventures.
The Orange Corners Ghana initiative spans a six-month acceleration program, consisting of five three-day workshops separated by four-week intervals.
It also includes post-acceleration in-business visits over nine to twelve months to assist in the creation and execution of growth plans, in addition to masterclasses and personalized coaching sessions.
The Orange Corners program facilitates the interaction between creative business people and the private industry, offering chances to obtain financial aid, mainly through the Orange Corners Innovation Fund.

Eligibility Criteria
- Open to Young entrepreneurs who are looking to formalize their ventures.
- Individuals seeking access to capital, mentorship networks, and market opportunities.
- Entrepreneurs willing to commit to a 6-month acceleration programme with five 3-day workshops and additional post-acceleration support over 9-12 months.
- Those interested in developing and executing growth plans for their business, with the support of masterclasses and personalized coaching sessions.
- Entrepreneurs aiming to connect with the private sector and access finance, possibly through the Orange Corners Innovation Fund.
Timeline
The Orange Corners programme hosts 2 cohorts annually. In 2024, will be recruiting Cohorts 9 and 10. Key dates for cohort 9 are below:
- Application period: From March 22, 2024, to April 28, 2024.
- Shortlisting and selection: Taking place from April 2024 to May 2024.
- Contracting and onboarding: Scheduled for June 2024.
- Cohort 9 officially begins: July 10, 2024.
Additionally, there will be five workshops held at intervals of four weeks, along with a Gazelle Investment Forum:
- Workshop 1: July 10, 2024, to July 12, 2024.
- Workshop 2: August 7, 2024, to August 9, 2024.
- Workshop 3: September 4, 2024, to September 6, 2024.
- Workshop 4: October 2, 2024, to October 4, 2024.
- Workshop 5: October 29, 2024, to November 1, 2024.
- Gazelle Forum: Scheduled for November 28, 2024.
