From June 23-26, the National Press Foundation will be conducting a training program in Singapore for journalists centered around various dimensions of sustainable global trade.
The training will cover subjects such as China’s impact on both the region and the rest of the world, sustainable investments, analyzing economic data, social and environmental considerations, supply chain issues, and emerging trends.
This professional development opportunity serves to equip journalists with enhanced skills and knowledge, bolstering their reportage on one of today’s most important topics.
Cost
- The foundation will provide coverage for expenses such as airfare, hotel costs, and the majority of meals.
Eligibility Requirement
- This program is exclusive to journalists based in Asia, whether they are working domestically or internationally, in print, television, radio, or digital media.
- They place high importance on diversity and encourage journalists from all backgrounds to participate in their programs.
- All nationalities are eligible to apply, but it is required that journalists are currently based in Asia. Preferential consideration is given to those who have a well-defined coverage plan and a track record of experience in reporting on these specific a.
- Applicants must agree to adhere to Singapore’s visa and COVID-19 policies.
How To Apply
In order to be eligible for this program, you are required to submit the following documents in English:
- Two samples of your recent work (within the last year).
- A letter of support from an editor or supervisor. If you are a freelancer, you can submit a letter from someone who has edited or published your work.
Additionally, be ready to answer the following questions:

- Can you provide a short autobiography, introducing yourself and your background in a narrative form?
