UNCC Daily Dining Plan
All the first-year students at the University of North Carolina that are living on campus are enrolled in this plan. This plan covers all the dishes offered by the dining halls and campus retail dining.
Here are the features of this plan.
- Unlimited meals and a $200 balance
- meal will be used seven days a week at SoVi and Crown Commons.
- Here, students can enjoy as many meals, snacks, or beverages per day as they want, but must wait for an interval of 15 minutes between meals at different locations.
- There are five (5) guest meals that may be used at any time within the semester, with a maximum of three (3) guest meals at one time.
Don’t forget that the daily plan is the major plan for the first-year students of the University of North Carolina.
For the upper-class students and commuters, the following plans apply:
160/350 Block Plan
The major features of this plan include;
- 160 meals and $350 in declining balance (DB) funds.
- Meals can also be used at any time during the semester at SoVi and Crown Commons dining halls. Meals in this plan are counted down as they are used and will be discontinued immediately after the count is complete.
- Up to three (3) meals per meal period can also be used for guests in this meal plan.
- The funds given in this plan may be used throughout the semester, including breaks, at any campus dining venue, including concessions and convenience stores.
- Meals expire at the end of the semester; unused DB rolls over until the next semester.
The upperclass and commuters‘ can choose between the 160/350 and the 100/350 Block chain plan.

100/350 Block Plan
The major features of this plan include;
- This plan offers 100 meals and $350 Declining Balance (DB) funds.
- Meals given in this plan may be used at any time during the semester at SoVi and Crown Commons dining halls. Meals are counted down as they are used.
- You can have up to three (3) meals per meal period may also be used for guests.
- Decline balance funds may be used throughout the semester including breaks, at any campus dining venue, including concessions and convenience stores.
- Meals expire at the end of the semester; unused DB rolls over until the next semester.
Straight Declining (DB) Plans
This plan can be purchased by the Commuters and the Upper-class residents of the UNCC. The features of this plan are;
- The plan offers $875 or $1,200 in DB funds that may be used throughout the semester including breaks, at any campus dining venue including sports concessions and campus convenience stores.
- When the semester ends, any unspent funds will be moved to the next semester.

If you are a student at the UNCC and you want to dine with guests, the various meal plans provide various opportunities for you to do so. For example, the daily meal plan offers students 5 guest meals per semester. Students are only allowed to use three of these slots at once. The remaining plans allow students to use their slots for guests, but they are still limited to 3 guest meals per period.
