The cheapest Apple Music Plan will soon be discontinued. With the recent development coming from the tech company, Apple is set to change its tune. And in this post, I will be sharing with you what gets to happen next.

Cheapest Apple Music Plan Discontinued

Cheapest Apple Music Plan Discontinued

Apple Music may just be one of the best streaming services out there, but we have got some unfortunate and bad news for users of its low-cost Voice Plan as Apple is reportedly ditching the plan this very month. All other Apple Music tiers on the other hand will continue as usual, but it however seems that the Voice Plan in question has been kicked out of the band.

As per an official support document, the Voice Plan of Apple Music will be discontinued “beginning in November.” Apple was not any more specific in regards to the date than that, but the firm however noted that “All Apple Music plans already work seamlessly with Siri, and we will continue to optimize this experience.”

And just as the name implies, the Voice Plan of Apple Music was focused on controlling your audio making use of Siri, and in fact, that was the only way to effectively navigate your tunes. And in return, it was the cheapest plan of Apple Music, reportedly priced at $4.99 a month.

What This Means for the Most Affordable Apple Music Plan

And with its detriment, the most affordable Apple Music plan will now cost users $10.99 which is more than twice the original price of the Voice plan. That’s quite a steep and sharp spike for users of the soon-to-be-discontinued tier and plan.

Subscribers to the Apple Music Voice Plan as you should know have a couple of choices. If it is that you are a current user, then you can continue with the Voice Plan until the end of your present billing cycle, at which point in question you can then switch to a different Apple Music plan. Apple has stated that you will get a notification just before the end of your billing cycle with more pieces of information.

Things are mostly the same if it is that you are on a trial of the Voice Plan. And after your trial in question has finished, you can then stick to the Voice Plan just until the end of your billing cycle, and at which point it will end and then you can move to a whole different plan.

Apple’s Reason Why the Voice Plan Was Cancelled

Apple as you should know did not give any reason as to why the Voice Plan has been canceled, but its voice-only restriction on the other hand may just have slowed down sales. Whatever the cause is, it now seems that Apple feels it just can do without this choice.

Apple Has Spiked Its Prices for a Range of Its Services

The move in question comes as Apple has spiked its prices for a range of its services. Apple TV+ as you should know is increasing from $6.99 to $9.99, while Apple Arcade on the other hand has risen from $4.99 to $6.99 per month. If it is that you are looking for a cheap Apple deal, then you have got to look harder than ever.
