Telegram Update Brings in Major File Sharing Support. Recently, Telegram has received another feature update, and this one adds a few neat file-sharing tricks to the messaging app. Starting with the file attachment system, it now allows users to rearrange the file album preview before sending many files.
When telegram iOS app users select multiple files for sharing and hit the “Selected” option at the top of the window, they get to see a gallery preview of all the media right before they hit on the send button.

On this gallery preview page, users get to move around the photos and videos in other to make sure that the recipient gets to see them in the same order just as intended. Aside from moving things around, users also can choose to remove some items from the preview gallery, in case they are having second thoughts. And just in case users feel the need to share a fresh click, The camera viewfinder has been integrated right into the gallery preview. All it required is a tap to fire the native camera app, click on a photo, and send it.
Telegram New Download Manager Tricks
When it comes to heavy files sharing, its own downloading aspect, and Telegram’s latest update takes care of that bit also. The search bar located at the top now shows a download icon, and tapping on it would take users to the app’s download dashboard where they get to see all the active and completed downloads. In the tab for download, users get to choose to pause or resume the listed tasks. The ability for you to access and control the ongoing downloads is quite convenient, but there is more.
Users get to decide to increase the priority of a particular download stream, in case multiple active downloads are eating away at the network bandwidth. A long-press gesture on any of the downloads that are ongoing will show the Raise Priority option that does exactly just that. And in case users cannot recall where a download originated from, they also get to go straight to the original conversation by long-pressing on it and choosing the “view in chat option” from the drop-down menu.
Creating Shareable Chat Links
Also, telegram is borrowing a trick from WhatsApp using unique phone number links for directly starting a chat, with no number-saving hassles in place. Users get to follow the T.me/country code + phone number format. Let’s say, a sample phone number link for an Indian phone user will be T.me/+910000000000. By tapping the link, it would open a direct chat with the person whose number appears in the URL. WhatsApp does the same, replacing Telegram’s “T.me/” part with a “wa.me/” prefix before the phone number.
This telegram update is expected to make some aesthetic tweaks. The app gets a transparent UI makeover that makes photos, stickers, and backgrounds shine right through the header located at the top.
However, this effect is expected to come into play when night mode has been enabled. Additionally, The login flow found on the MacOS now shows a cool Matrix-inspired animation of raining code on the QR code scan page.
