The funds of this scholarship is provided by the Reverend Samuel Modupe Idowu Foundation, a renowned non-profit organization located in Nigeria. The foundation is dedicated to advancing education and promoting spiritual growth among young people.
Overview of Reverend Samuel Idowu Scholarship
The main goals of the Reverend Samuel Modupe Idowu Foundation, a non-profit organization registered in Nigeria, are to advance education and bring young people closer to God. Reverend Samuel Modupe Idowu also founded Divine Love Gospel Church and served as its first president. He was the chairman of several other religious organizations, such as CAN, PFN, OGN, and others.
He had a deep love for a well-rounded education and gave his all to God. Thus, this foundation serves to further his ministry to both God and humanity. The Board of Trustees, the Working Committee, and the Sponsors make up the three parts of the organizational structure. The Working Committee carries out the work, the Sponsors supply funds, and the BoT sets the tone.
Eligiblity Requirements for Rev. Samuel Idowu Scholarship
To be considered for Rev. Samuel Idowu Scholarship, applicants must meet the eligibility requirements below:
- Applicants must meet the age requirement (between16 and 23 years of age) and provide evidence of age
- Applicants are required to sign an undertaking to attain a minimum Second Class Upper Division (2:1) grade each year
- Must achieve a minimum of 5 credit passes in WAEC/NECO or GCE. A credit in English and Mathematics is mandatory
- Must pass the JAMB exam
- Must pass the pre-admission school/university exam
- Must have received a letter of admission from an accredited University (exception of Polytechnics)
- The student must pass the prequalification exam set by the Foundation
- Please note that the admission letter must be from a public university including Unilag, UniIbadan, UniJos, OOU etc.
