Prudential Emerging Visionaries Program 2023
Prudential Emerging Visionaries is a nationwide recognition program that recognizes young people who are conducting creative projects in their communities to address financial or societal issues. Applications will be accepted until November 2, 2023.
Prudential Emerging Visionaries seeks young leaders aged 14 to 18 who are committed to addressing financial and societal concerns in their communities and beyond. If chosen, you may receive up to $15,000 in rewards, an all-expenses-paid trip to Prudential’s headquarters in Newark, New Jersey, and coaching and skills development to help you take your innovative idea to the next level.

Benefits Of The Program
The benefits of the Prudential Emerging Visionaries Program are categorized into two, they are:
General Benefit
All Applicants who qualify will receive:
- Peer feedback is provided through the program’s online platform, which includes the ability to access, review, and communicate with other Prudential Emerging Visionaries applicants and their submissions.
- You can access on-demand training to help you with your change-making journey.
- If your application is filed by Thursday, September 28, 2023, at 11:59 PM ET, you will be considered for one of two (2) Early Entry Awards ($1,000 each).
- A digital participation certificate.
Winners Benefit
A cash prize of up to $15,000, is awarded as follows:
- Each of the Twenty-five (25) winners will get $5,000. Twenty winners (20) will be chosen from the Societal Solutions category, and five winners will be chosen from the Financial Solutions category.
- The five(5) Financial Solutions category winners will be asked to pitch at the Prudential Emerging Visionaries Awards Summit at Prudential’s headquarters. Following that, one Financial Solutions Grand Prize Winner will get an extra $10,000 award, for a total of $15,000.
- One winner from each category will also receive the Prudential Employees’ Choice Award and $5,000, which will be presented at the Prudential Emerging Visionaries Awards Summit at Prudential’s headquarters.
- The Prudential Employees’ Choice Award is not available to the Financial Solutions Grand Prize Winner.
- All Twenty-five (25) winners will receive all-expenses-paid travel to Prudential’s headquarters in Newark, New Jersey, from April 20-23, 2024, to attend the Prudential Emerging Visionaries Awards Summit with a parent or guardian. This will be an engaging event in which grantees will receive coaching, skill development, and the opportunity to meet with Prudential top officials to assist in taking their ideas to the next level.
- Applicant should be aware that if the in-person event must be canceled due to unforeseen circumstances (as determined by Prudential in its sole discretion), a virtual ceremony will be held and no trip will be granted.
Eligibility Criteria
Participants must meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Participants must be between the ages of 14 and 18 at the time of application and no older than 18 by the conclusion of the entrance period (November 2, 2023). No groups or partners are permitted.
- Participants must be US citizens or legal residents of Puerto Rico.
- Participants must have begun their project before June 1, 2023.
- Winners must bring one chaperone to the in-person event, which will take place on April 20-23, 2024.
- Each person may only submit one application.
- All applications submitted must be written in English.
- Prudential Emerging Visionaries and Prudential Community Spirit National and state honorees are ineligible to apply.
- Employees of Prudential, Ashoka, Financial Health Network, or its affiliates, as well as their children and grandchildren, and participating advertising and promotion agencies, are not eligible to apply.
Selection Criteria
The following criteria listed will be used to evaluate Entries:
- Innovation: Are you thinking creatively about how to improve your financial health and resilience, or how to address social challenges in your community?
- Scalability potential: Do you have a vision for the future? Will this innovation have a significant impact, and will it be scalable outside your local community?
- Connection: Do you demonstrate a thorough awareness of the problem or obstacle you are attempting to overcome, as well as a strong connection to the community to which you are offering your solution?
- Quality of a Changemaker: Are you driven to make a difference for the betterment of everybody, willing to take the lead or act to address an issue, and eager to mobilize others?
