The prestigious Lazord Fellowship Program was first introduced in 2010, in Egypt precisely. The fellowship program now has several chapters in Egypt, Jordan, and Tunisia, in partnership with more than 50 organizations.
Lazord Fellowship is a regional program that often lasts for a duration of 1 year with an opportunity for fellows from the above-listed chapters to come together twice a year (in-person, or virtually). Lazord fellowship combines rigorous training sessions, mentorship, and networking opportunities for successful Candidates (fellows), in other to enable them to realize their full potential as responsible leaders.
Eligibility Criteria for Lazord Fellowship
To be considered for the Lazord Fellowship, Applicants must meet the following conditions:
- Applicants must be University graduates from any field and;
- Must have graduated in 2020 (exception due to Covid) or after;
- Demonstrates records of being civically engaged;
- Applicants must be ready and willing to commit to a one-year full-time fellowship starting September 2023;
- He/She must be available to attend the annual International Conference scheduled to hold from October 9 to October 13;p
- Candidates are expected to have local residency status and authorization to work in the country of the fellowship to which they are applying;
- All male applicants from Egypt have to either be exempt from military service, already received the certificate of exemption, or be done with their service.
Benefits of Lazord Fellowship Program
Successful Fellows will:
- Be hosted by a local Organization for one year
- Fellows will receive a living stipend, however, based on local living costs
- Additionally, fellows will participate in training platforms taught by professional trainers
