The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation & Digital Economy, is inviting applications for the NITDA 3 Million Technical Talent (3MTT) Programme 2024. The initiative will produce a technological talent pipeline in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s goal of 2 million digital jobs by 2025.
A key component of the Renewed Hope agenda; The 3 Million Technical Talent (3MTT) plan, is to establish Nigeria as a net talent exporter by strengthening the country’s technical talent base, which will drive the country’s digital economy. The program’s first phase will engage several stakeholders, including placement agencies, training providers, fellows, and partners.
About NITDA 3 Million Technical Talent (3MTT) Program
Thirty thousand (30) technical talents, or one per cent of the total target, will be trained and placed in this first phase. It will be carried out by the framework that was jointly developed by important players from the public and commercial sectors, as well as from training providers, educational institutions, and development organizations.
For the first phase of the 3MTT Program, the focus will be on the following twelve (12) technical skills:

- UI/UX Design
- Data Analysis & Visualization
- Quality Assurance
- Product Management
- Data Science
- Animation
- AI / Machine Learning
- Cybersecurity

No, the first phase will focus on the aforementioned twelve (12) talents. There are plans to add more talents as the programme grows.

Are in-person attendance requirements for the training sessions in place?
Since the training is hybrid, both online and in-person components are included. Although most of the training can be completed online, some parts will need to be completed in person.
Will I need to write an entry assessment?
Yes, the program combines an entry assessment to determine the skill benchmark for each applicant.
Is there a commitment fee required for selection?
There is no fee required for this phase of the programme.
