Nintendo to launch Switch OLED in Mario Red on October 6. This is one for the Mario fans and they most certainly cannot wait for it to be launched. It is also reported that there are hidden coins in the product design.

Nintendo is reportedly releasing a new edition of the Nintendo Switch OLED that is drenched in the signature color of Mario, the company on Thursday announced. The Nintendo Switch OLED: Mario Red Edition will be available beginning Oct. 6 for $350. For those who are interested, the device can now be preordered from the Nintendo Store.
And just as the name implies, the new edition of the Switch is completely decked out in bright red, and this is including the console, dock as well as Joy-Con controllers. There is also a Mario silhouette on the back and even some hidden coins for users to discover.
What You Need To Know About the New Mario-Themed Switch
The new Mario-themed Switch as you should know will be out ahead of the release of Super Mario Bros. Wonder game. The new 2D platformer, which comes out on Oct. 20, will reportedly star Mario along with other interesting and fun characters from the long-running franchise, and this is inclusive of Luigi, Yoshi, Princess Peach, Toad, and Daisy. Wonder as you should know will reportedly feature a changing world as well as new power-ups, which is inclusive of one that turns Mario into an elephant.
Other Themed-Versions of the Switch OLED
The Mario Red Edition for those that don’t really know about it joins several other themed versions of the Switch OLED, and this is including ones for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Splatoon 3, and even Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.

The Nintendo Switch OLED in question was released in the year 2021 with a larger OLED display and even a better kickstand in contrast to the original Switch, which reportedly launched all the way back in 2017. There are several rumors that a new Switch could be on the way as Nintendo reportedly faces increased competition in handheld gaming from devices such as the Steam Deck and the upcoming Portal from Sony. And even still, the Nintendo Switch OLED has earned a CNET Editors’ Choice and Scott Stein of CNET says that it is the best Switch out of all the options available.
