Eligibility Criteria

  • The scholarship is open to applicants from around the globe.
  • A Bachelor’s degree (or an equivalent recognized by McGill University) in a closely related subject is required for graduate studies.
  • For most Master’s programs at McGill, a four-year degree in the relevant field from a recognized institution is necessary. To pursue a doctoral degree, completion of a Master’s degree in the relevant field from a recognized institution is mandatory.
  • A minimum overall grade point average (CGPA) of 3.0 out of 4.0, or a GPA of 3.2 out of 4.0 in the final two years of full-time study is typically required. However, some disciplines may require a higher CGPA for admission.
  • Your qualifications must be on par with a degree from McGill University.
  • English is the primary language of instruction at McGill. While you can write dissertations, exams, or essays in French, certain courses may necessitate English proficiency. Prior to enrollment, you might need to demonstrate competency in English.
