Applications are now open for the 2024 edition of the NNPC-SNEPCo National University Scholarship Award! Under a Production Sharing Contract with Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC).
Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company Limited (SNEPCO), and Esso Exploration and Production Nigeria (Deepwater) Limited, hereby invite applications from eligible Nigerian students for the 2024 NNPC – SNEPCo National University Scholarship Programme.
NNPC-SNEPCo National University Scholarship – Details
The award seeks to promote academic excellence and improve the skills of young Nigerians. Suitably qualified Nigerians are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity.
The Scholarship provides recipients with a N200,000 grants from their second year to the completion of their undergraduate degree programme.
Benefits of NNPC/SNEPCo National University Scholarship
The NNPC/SNEPCo Scholarship offers N200,000 Per Year to each of the successfully selected Candidates. This award will cover the full duration of the recipient’s undergraduate Programme.
Eligiblity Requirements
Applicants must meet the requirements below to be considered for the NNPC/Shell Scholarship 2024 award:
- Candidates for the NNPC/SNEPCo Scholarship must be full-time undergraduates studying in Universities within Nigeria.
- Only Nigerian citizens can apply for the NNPC/Shell Scholarship
- Candidates must be in their second year of full-time study in a Nigerian University accredited by the NUC.
- Applicants are expected to have a minimum CGPA of 3.5 in a 5-grade system or the equivalent in other grade systems
- They must not be holding or be a beneficiary of any other scholarship from a company in the Oil and Gas industry, National or International.
- Female candidates are strongly encouraged to apply

- University or JAMB Admission Letter;
- Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME) Result
- The student’s O’ Level Result(s) and OND /NCE Result(s)
- Letter of Identification from State of Origin

The application process for the NNPC-SNEPCo National University Scholarship is simple and can be completed within a few minutes. Apply following the guide below:

- Click on the Apply Now icon located at the top right corner of the page
- Create an account by clicking on the Register Now button at the top of the page
- You will need to activate; refer to the link sent to your email
- Provide your personal information, National Identification Number, educational details, and other information required
- Upload required scanned documents.
- The name used to register must align with the names on all documentation in same order.
- It’s important to ensure accuracy in the uploading of documents
- After providing all the required documents, click Apply Now to submit the information. An email and SMS will be sent as a confirmation successful application.
