  • Right on your iPhone, launch your settings app
  • First, launch the Settings home page, click on the top bar that shows the displays the profile picture and the name of the device owners name to bring you to your Apple ID page
  • Right on the Apple ID page, tap on Subscriptions.
  • You would be presented with a list of all active subscriptions once on the subscription page
  • Select the app that you wish to unsubscribe from. Doing so would aid you to open another page titled Edit Subscription.
  • Tap on the cancel button

Canceling App Store Subscriptions in MacOS

If you, unfortunately, do not have an iPhone, iPod, or iPad lying around, but have access to a desktop machine running macOS, you can choose to deactivate an App Store Subscription with just a few steps. Of course, you are supposed to be logged in with the same Apple account on your iPhone and the Mac for the linked app subscription to appear in the first place. With device and account requirements out of the way, below I would be stating the steps that you need to follow in a Mac for deactivating app store subscriptions:

  • On your macOS computer, launch the app store
  • Right on the bottom left corner of the screen, tap on your name and then tap on open account details and your subscription and purchase history would pop out
  • Immediately the page for account shows up, click view information on top right of the screen
  • At this point in time, you would be asked to enter your Apple ID credentials
  • Right after the authentication with said Apple ID, scroll down to find the Manage option and once again click on the blue manage button that appears in the dialog box.
  • You would be taken to the subscriptions page that shows a list of all the apps that you have been subscribed to. The apps would be arranged in two sections Active and Expired – based on their subscription status.
  • Beneath the banner, find the app whose subscription you are looking forward to canceling, and tap on the Edit button next to it.

Once you do this, it would open an Edit Subscription page with a cancel subscription button located beneath the page. Tap on it and you have successfully canceled it.
