The Halcyon Fellowship presents an opportunity for impact-driven entrepreneurs from Latin America and the Caribbean. Aspiring founders with a passion for tackling climate change and a drive to make a difference in their communities can now apply for the Halcyon Fellowship Summer 2024.

Program Structure:

Cohort Dynamics: The fellowship brings together a select cohort of up to 10 ventures in a collaborative environment where entrepreneurs can learn from one another’s experiences and expertise. With a focus on the climate space, ventures receive comprehensive training in Halcyon’s methodology, covering crucial areas such as product-market fit, investment readiness, and leadership development.
Diverse Learning Platforms: The program is thoughtfully designed to accommodate entrepreneurs’ diverse needs and preferences. From virtual kick-off meetings to in-person residencies in Washington, DC, and Mexico City, fellows benefit from a blend of immersive experiences and virtual interactions.

Benefits:

Financial Support: The Halcyon Fellowship provides up to $5,000 USD per venture equity-free stipend to accepted fellows. This stipend aims to alleviate financial barriers and enable entrepreneurs to fully engage in the program’s activities, including attending the in-person residencies and participating in training sessions and networking events.
Residencies: Fellows are granted the opportunity to spend one week each at Halcyon’s state-of-the-art facilities in Georgetown, Washington, DC, and in vibrant Mexico City. These residencies also serve as hubs for connecting with investors, advisors, and media representatives. The culminating event in Mexico City provides a platform for fellows to showcase their ventures through pitches, further amplifying their visibility and impact.
Training and Mentorship: Accepted fellows receive training on critical areas such as product-market fit, investment readiness, and leadership skills. Additionally, they benefit from mentorship opportunities, enabling them to receive guidance from seasoned professionals and industry experts.
Access to Resources and Networks: After the fellowship program, fellows become part of a vibrant and supportive community comprising over 450 impact-driven entrepreneurs worldwide. Fellows also gain exposure to impact investors who share their commitment to driving positive change.

Eligibility Criteria:

The Halcyon Fellowship seeks to support for-profit startups that are developing scalable. Solutions to address the challenges posed by climate change.
Ventures must be based in and/or serving Latin America and the Caribbean.

Stage and Team Requirements:

Applicants are required to have a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) with the potential for scalability
Each venture may apply with up to one co-founder. With the applicant holding the role of CEO or possessing primary decision-making authority.
Fluency in English is essential, as the program’s activities and communications are conducted in English.
In addition to meeting the aforementioned criteria, ventures must align with one or more of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs),
Applicants must also demonstrate a willingness and ability to fully engage in all program activities and sessions.

Application

To apply for Halcyon Fellowship 2024, below are the steps to follow:

Prospective fellows are invited to submit their applications by Friday, March 22, 2024, at 11:59 pm US Eastern Time.
Following the application deadline, finalists will be selected to participate in virtual pitch sessions with the selection committee during April and May 2024.
Successful applicants will be notified of their acceptance into the program in May 2024.
The fellowship kicks off with a virtual meeting on June 13, 2024, setting the stage for the months ahead. In-person residencies in Washington, DC, and Mexico City, along with monthly virtual meetings. Offer fellows opportunities for learning, networking, and growth.
The fellowship concludes with the final residency in Mexico City in October 2024. Where fellows will have the chance to showcase their ventures and forge valuable connections.
