Harvard Global Health Institute is inviting Applications for the 2024-2025 Harvard LEAD Fellowship program. The LEAD Fellowship is a unique opportunity for women leaders in global health to enhance their skills and broaden their networks.
The 2024-2025 LEAD Fellowship is a 12-month program designed to empower women leaders from low- and middle-income countries. It combines virtual learning with a 4-week in-person experience in Spring 2025.
Throughout the fellowship year, participants engage in various activities including leadership coaching, mentorship, executive education courses, speaking events, workshops, and networking opportunities.

The virtual curriculum used for the 2024-25 Harvard LEAD Fellowship, allows fellows to participate in activities remotely, providing flexibility for those balancing professional and personal commitments. It covers a wide range of topics relevant to global health leadership, equipping participants with the knowledge and skills needed to engage in positive change in their communities.
The in-person experience, scheduled for Spring 2025, offers fellows the opportunity to connect face-to-face with peers and mentors from around the world. Eligibility Requirements for Harvard LEAD Fellowship
To be eligible for the LEAD Fellowship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Prospective Candidates possess full-time employment in the field of global health
- Minimum of 15 years of professional experience beyond education
- Demonstrated leadership experience and potential
- Support from employer and internal mentor
- Availability for a 4-week in-residence experience in April 2025
- Ability to obtain a J-1 visa for travel to the United States
- No participation in a full-time fellowship lasting 4 months or longer in the two years before the Harvard fellowship

- Applications must be submitted by 5 PM EST, Friday, March 15th, 2024. All application materials must be submitted by the deadline, and successful applicants will be notified in May 2024.
- The fellowship will commence on September 1, 2024, and conclude on August 31, 2025.
